Our Story
Unity of Faith and Dance
The Kosovski Bozuri Folklore Ensemble at Holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Parish in Oakville was founded in 1984 by local parishioners and residents. It is a local organization whose mandate is to encourage and preserve Serbian cultural heritage and to promote the development of children ages 4-18 through the magic of dance and song. We believe that song, music and dance also help children become more imaginative, self-aware and collaborative global citizens in our Canadian mosaic community.
Our Mission
The mission of the Kosovski Božuri Folk Dance Ensemble is to:

Create and sustain a range of spiritual, cultural, and educational initiatives aimed at enriching the hearts, minds, and bodies of young Serbian Canadians.

Aid youth in enhancing their understanding of their faith, history, and traditions.

Foster and cultivate a tight-knit and dynamic youth community to facilitate healthier, more meaningful lives. Through this, they evolve into resilient, productive contributors to society, projecting a positive portrayal of our community, faith, and nation to the wider world.
